Why we started PYAAS: two friends, one honest idea

PYAAS did not begin in a boardroom. It began with a friendship. Kushagra Shekhar Kaushik and I met as schoolboys at Amity International, and we have been best friends ever since. We came from humble beginnings and shared one stubborn idea for years before we did anything about it: build the honest dairy brand our own families never had.

The problem we could not unsee

Both of us grew up around milk that came from someone we knew. Somewhere between the village and the city, that knowledge disappeared. Milk became a white liquid in a packet, pooled from countless farms, with no way to know who produced it or how the animals were treated. India’s dairy, we realised, does not have a milk problem. It has an information problem. The milk, the farmers, the quality all exist. What never existed was a system that connects them and puts it in your hands.

Two friends, two jobs

So we split the work the way our strengths fell. As CEO, I stay closest to the field: the farms, the collection, the quality, and the farmer relationships in Gonda. Kushagra, as CTO, builds the part that makes the promise real: the traceability technology, the QR-to-batch record, the product. One of us lives on the farm side, one on the tech side, and PYAAS is the handshake between them.

What we are building toward

Today our A2 Bilona cow ghee is live and shipping across India; our fresh A2 milk launches in Lucknow from August 2026. We are building toward a ₹100 crore dairy brand, but not by cutting corners on the thing that started it. Every pack will still tell you the farm, the farmer and the quality check. You can read more of our story or meet the farms we started with.

We are not trying to make milk cheaper. We are trying to make it honest. That is still the whole idea.

Common questions.

Who founded PYAAS?

PYAAS was founded by two school friends: Aryan Sharma (Founder & CEO) and Kushagra Shekhar Kaushik (Co-founder & CTO). We met at Amity International and started PYAAS to build a dairy brand families could actually check.

What does PYAAS mean to do?

Our tagline is Know Your Milk. We are building a transparency-first dairy brand where every pack traces back to a named farm, a named farmer and a quality record you can scan, rather than a claim you take on faith.

Is PYAAS a big company yet?

We are early and honest about it. Our A2 Bilona ghee is live across India today; our fresh milk launches in Lucknow from August 2026. We are building toward a ₹100 crore dairy brand, one honest batch at a time.
